The City of Joburg used to be made up of multiple single municipalities with individual town planning schemes. In 2018 these merged under the land use scheme for a singular city.
The requirements and differences between residential zoning – Res 5 is a very uncommon and therefore unused zoning in the COJ but we include it below for reference:
