Back the JoburgCAN initiative

For as little as R100 per month, small businesses can become contributing supporters of JoburgCAN. This will enable your business to support JoburgCAN’s efforts to organise, empower and enable communities throughout Johannesburg to improve active citizenry, improve the City and challenge the wrongs within the City. You can also obtain an 18A tax benefit in the process.

Becoming a contributing supporter will keep you in the loop of things but there are no rewards or voting rights etc for the donations – they are purely for the desire to contribute to the betterment of Johannesburg to the benefit of all.

The JoburgCAN Affiliate Network serves as a vital conduit for grassroots advocacy, amplifying community voices to enact meaningful change in local government. By fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, it empowers citizens to address pressing issues, ensuring policies reflect the needs and aspirations of the communities they serve, thereby fostering inclusive governance.

Become part of the Network

Calling all Johannesburg Residents Associations / Community Forums / Street Committees. Join our mission to create a better city for everyone. We’re looking for dedicated organised communities who align with our mission and values.

Contributing Affiliate

Contributing Affiliates commit 5%-10% of their monthly membership fee towards the JoburgCAN initiative. Collectively with other Affiliates, organised communities crowd fund JoburgCANs full time operations and strategic projects.

Non-contributing Affiliates

Non-contributing Affiliates are organised or semi-organised communities that don’t yet have a sustainable funding mechanism or form part of communities who don’t have the means to contribute financially to the JoburgCAN Initiative but want to participate in it and support it in different ways.
