The Community Association in a Box is a multi-layered solution that provides organisations with the elements to organise in a manner that promotes good governance, financial sustainability and community engagement.
Too, the CAB solution allows communities to tap into JoburgCAN’s community specific resources on a variety of topics as well as access expertise and knowledge from like-minded individuals and organisations through regular networking and webinar events.
Through CAB, we provide the association with a custom-built website, email address and payment portal integration. This allows the association to ask its members or donors to commit and sign-up on the website to a monthly contribution which is then automatically deducted every month from the member/donor’s bank account. This helps improve the financial sustainability of the community association and allows it to do what it does best- civic activism.
The association keeps 90% of every donation with the remaining 10% coming to CAN which counts towards the association’s affiliation fee. This percentage deduction occurs automatically at the moment the member/donor makes their contribution.
